Evaluation of Prelim

Our prelim was based on a male who attacks another male character, they had match cuts between themselves over an edge where the victim was pushed up against the fencing, however the 'victim' retaliated and ended up beating up the other male charater. This was the plot for this prelim, however our prelim wasn't as successful as we planned it out to be.

The shots wasn't continuos, even if we used the 180 degree rule, match cuts or pov shots. The shots didn't add up together in the way we wanted it to. In some parts of the prelim, it did look continuos and good, however it didn't match our expectations.

From this prelim, we have learnt that the focus in the shot should either be auto, or manual and we would have to make sure the manual setting is up to our standards and it is what we wanted. For our own film opening, we will learn from this mistake and make sure we do not repeat the same mistake.

If we had to do another prelim, our focus, camera shots and timing will be better in time and in shots.
